I’m Dyanesha the owner of Teacup Yorkies for Adoption Near Lebanon Ohio LLC and I over the past 2 plus years have perfected the ultimate formulation that is Small Batch Silk.  Our origin story is simple; it began when I treated my pups for fleas and ticks with well-known over the counter brand of topical solution.  All of my pups suffered from burnt skin, their hair fell out in patches where the solution had been put and then finally when the hair did grow back, it grew back a different color.  All of my pups had been adversely affected by the trusted brand.  I would not take that risk again.  At the same time one of girls was suffering from itchy skin and dull and thinning hair.  We switched foods, shampoos and gave her vitamins but still she had sores from her scratching and her hair was thin and dull.  I decided that I would find an all-natural solution that would remedy all of our ailments in one all-natural formulation. In the past I have made formulations to remedy my own skin and hair issues so I adjusted my thinking to fit that of Yorkshire Terrier and I dusted off the many books I possessed and began inventing the perfect treatment.  It took over a year of experimentation for us to find the formulation that we call Small Batch Silk today and we have been using our product on all of our pups since its creation.  I started small, giving close friends a sample to they too could use it and tell me of their results.  The feedback was positive and we decided to make it accessible to the public as well.  You can now buy Small Batch Silk for your own personal use! Every ingredient used in Small Batch Silk plays a huge role in helping to restore your pup’s skin and hair.  We use a six-ingredient blend of Grapeseed oil, Avocado oil, Coconut oil and Bergamot, Lavender and Geranium essential oil.    Grapeseed oil is ideal for this formulation because it is lightweight, non-greasy and fast absorbing.  It has anti-inflammatory properties which can help to relieve symptoms from allergies and hot spots. The grapeseed oil will help to heal dry and cracked paw pads and noses while the Omega 6 in the oil will help support skin cell health and works to improve the skin barrier. The next ingredient is Avocado oil; it is an oil that is very rich in fatty acids and vitamins A, D, and E as well as antioxidants. It provides a deep moisturization which penetrates the hair and skin to treat dry, itchy, flakey skin and dull brittle hair. Its anti-inflammatory properties will help to repair damaged skin including your pup’s nose and paw pads.  The Coconut Butter will soothe your pup’s skin and condition and hydrate their coat.  It will help to fade scars, cuts and abrasions and provides relief just like the other two oils for dry and cracked paw pads and noses.  Further the coconut oil will relieve itchy skin and promote hair growth.  Now we will move on to the essential oils.  Firstly, the geranium essential oil is going to not only repel ticks, and fleas it is going to kill them, preventing the spread of larvae.  It is going to eliminate odor, not by masking them, but by addressing the root cause.  Furthermore, the geranium essential oil acts as an antiseptic which aids in treating minor skin infections.  The lavender essential oil is going to soothe irritation, acts as an antiseptic to aid in the healing process and reduces itchiness.  The sores that are caused by itching will heal faster and with continuous use they will not reappear.  The Bergamot essential oil is ideal for detangling your dog’s coat.  It adds shine, moisturizes, softens hair, soothes inflammation, treats irritation and infection and also helps to normalize sebum levels promoting overall skin health.  As a bonus the Bergamot essential oil will overwhelm the sensitive olfactory receptors of fleas and this will cause them to either completely avoid or abandon the host.

To apply Small Batch Silk, you will need to apply a small amount to your hands and then massage into roots and skin.  After the application you should brush your dog thoroughly to ensure that the product has been amply spread throughout their coat and down into their skin.  Small Batch Silk should be applied after bath time, in-between baths as a deodorizer and before going outside if using it as an all-natural insecticide and repellent.  Small Batch Silk is a safe formulation that consists of a 1% dilution rate per the essential oils, making it safe for your dog and even human skin.
